An Intimate Napa Valley Elopement at The Francis House | Jessica & Colton

Article By: Olivia Nierhake

Some wedding days are filled with hundreds of guests, elaborate timelines, and endless activity. Jessica and Colton chose something different.

Surrounded by just twelve of their closest family members and friends, the two exchanged vows during an incredibly intimate celebration at The Francis House in Calistoga. The result was a day that felt intentional, meaningful, and completely centered around what mattered most: their love and the people who mean the most to them.

If you’ve never visited The Francis House, it’s truly one of Napa Valley’s hidden gems. Built in authentic French Second Empire architecture, the historic property feels as though it was lifted straight from the French countryside and gently placed in the heart of Calistoga. With its stone exterior, manicured grounds, and old-world charm, it’s almost impossible to believe you’re still in California.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. There was no rush, no stress, and no pressure to perform. Instead, the day unfolded naturally, allowing Jessica and Colton to fully soak in every moment together.

Jessica was thoughtful about every detail. Nothing felt overdone or extravagant. Yet, every choice was purposeful, reflecting who they are as a couple and the experience they wanted to create for their loved ones. That intentionality was evident in everything—from the intimate guest list to the quiet moments shared throughout the day.

What stood out most, though, was Jessica herself. She radiated warmth. She was present, joyful, and genuinely soaking in every second. There was a softness to the entire day that felt rare and refreshing. It wasn’t about creating a spectacle; it was about creating memories.

As the sun settled over Calistoga and their closest people gathered around them, it became clear that this celebration was exactly what Jessica and Colton had envisioned: meaningful, heartfelt, and deeply personal.

Jessica and Colton, thank you for allowing us to be a small part of such a beautiful chapter in your story. Your wedding was a reminder that sometimes the most memorable celebrations aren’t the biggest—they’re the ones that feel the most like you.
