Bookings

  • A contract and retainer are needed to secure your date. Your date will remain open until both have been received.

  • Makeup Minimum: Bride + 4 others (or dollar equivalent).

    Hair Minimum: Bride + 4 others (or dollar equivalent).

    Team Member Minimum: We require a 5 service minimum (or dollar equivalent) per team member assigned to your wedding.

    Bridal trials and flower girl services do not count towards the service minimums.

    Due to demand, rehearsals/welcome party services are subject to the same minimums for events Friday-Sunday.

    Bride only packages are offered starting at $2000 (limited availability)

  • We are a boutique team and our girls book up quickly! For the service count, we need a firm number at the time of booking. This helps us staff your date accordingly, and ensure we have enough artists available without them being booked on other events. Because we provide beauty services for a living, we do not allow subtractions to the contracted service count.

  • The demand for our services during peak wedding months is very high, and for that reason, dates can not be held for any period of time. Our availability is offered on a first come, first serve basis and is only secured by completing a signed contract + retainer fee.

  • Due to demand, we only offer full service bridal packages. If you are looking to book just hair or just makeup, we recommend booking an independent artist or stylist as this may better fit your needs.

  • Nope, we keep it simple. All of our artist specialize in the same style of artistry and hair styles.

  • For the bride who wants a luxurious morning, with one dedicated artist just of her, we have a bride only package offer available. This includes on-site touch ups and assistance. This service is with the owner of Beauty on Set, Olivia Meyer. Limited availability!

Trials

  • Bridal trials are reserved for our booked brides only. Due to the high volume of inquires, we do not offer soft holds.

  • Bridal trials take place in our off season (November - early April) during the week.

    This allows us to solely focus on weddings in-season. If you’re a 2025 bride, your trial will take place in November 2024 - April 2025.

  • Trials take place in our respective studios.

    - Walnut Creek studio (Mollie, Olivia, Anela, Sam, Chelsea).

    - Vacaville studio (Bre).

    - Benicia studio (Stef).

    - For Mendocino bridal trials, we will schedule these while you are up for a site visit and our Mendocino team will travel to your hotel room/airbnb for the trial.

Day of

  • Your start time is dependent on your end time. Once we know what time you and your party need to be ready by, we can begin working backwards from there. An early end time means an early start time.

    We need 50 minutes per bridal party service (hair 1 service, makeup 1 service) and 1 hour 20 minutes per bride service (hair 1 service, makeup 1 service).

  • Yes! We offer touch up services at an additional hourly cost. This is great to freshen up after your first look and before the ceremony! Touch ups start when wedding morning services are completed. They are for those who received services only and take place in one location. Travel to another location is not included. Touch up hours are continuous and cannot be broken up.

  • Full transparency! First looks have changed the wedding industry. If you are doing a first look, you are essentially having a full photoshoot prior to walking down the isle. You will be outside in elements such as wind, moisture and heat. This will alter your hair and makeup. Make sure you prepare to touch yourself up if we don't say on-site for touch ups. If you are not doing a first look, I wouldn't worry at all!

  • We prefer brides to be second or third to last & never last for the most relaxing experience in our chair.
